Programme Details
6 or 9-month teaching placement in a private language school
Earn up to €1,000–€1,200 per month (hours vary during training)
120-Hour Advanced TEFL Course, plus specialist courses in Advanced Grammar and Business English
Welcome orientation in Florence with hotel stay included
Online onboarding with our in-country advisor, plus interview and demo lesson training

Your TEFL course or teaching qualification may give you the credentials to teach abroad, but preparing yourself for the impending cultural change is a whole new ball game. Before you arrive in Italy, having a solid understanding of the culture will help you in many ways. You will find it easier to navigate social situations, make friends, perform better at work, and transition into local life.

Demo lesson coaching session
Join a training session with the In-country Coordinator to help you prepare your demo lesson.
Submit your demo lesson video
Send your video to the In-country Coordinator for feedback and guidance (you’ll have up to two attempts).
Final demo lesson review
Your updated demo lesson will then be shared with the Academic Director.
Formal interview
A final conversation with the Academic Director to talk through the role and next steps.
Welcome aboard!
Successful candidates will receive an official offer from the Academic Director.
Outside The Classroom
If you love the idea of the freedom TEFL brings, you’ll love our Italy TEFL job placement. You’ll be living independently, and there’s nothing you can’t do during your time in “Bel Paese” (beautiful country). Meet with new-found friends for lunch and trips to the beach or go on a solo adventure to experience another aspect of Italian culture. Use this TEFL adventure to see the sights of Italy and, of course, sample its sumptuous cuisine.

Your teaching experience
You'll take on the role of classroom leader for 15-30 hours per week. You'll teach four evenings per week and Saturday mornings. The rest of your hours will be scheduled around this teaching timetable.
